New Year's Resolutions.

So, I have been trying to come up with a list of resolutions for the new year. I think I have a pretty good start:
  1. Incorporate more vegetables into my diet.
    • This includes a few slight changes to my diet .
  2. Exercise more.
  3. Be a better student.
  4. Get rid of things detrimental to my life
    • People are definitely included in this one.
That is my list for now. Things can always be added to it, I guess. The first thing that I have already done is written a letter to my ex. He is the first person I need to extract from my life. He caused me so much heartbreak. The fact that sometimes he still tries to be apart of my life is more reason to throw him out of my life. I basically explained that he was a great lesson in my life. I said that I forgive him and will never contact him again. I will send it tomorrow sometime. After I send it I will delete his name from my messages and phone. I may also block him on all social media. I need this in my life. I feel like cleansing myself of that one true hope will help me overall.

Next, the veggies. I barely eat vegetables. The closest I get to them are potatoes and corn. I think I will start off by including baby spinach in my eggs. It's a small step, but a step in the right direction nonetheless. I am also going to exercise more. I need more physical exercise in my life. Thinking about joining a 24 hour gym so that I can work out whenever I have free time.

Yeah, I think my list is pretty decent. The most important points are adding veggies and eliminating detrimental things and people. The being a better student part is only for this semester.I graduate in May. Then, off to law school. That's really where the "be a better student" comes in at. Well, wish me luck guys! I have to continue studying for the LSAT now.

What Is Life.

All of my friends are starting to get into relationships, get engaged/married, and have kids. I'm just trying to finish my undergraduate degree and go to law school. As I sit and witness their lives, I realize that there is a pretty strong possibility that I will be that one single friend who never has kids. I will be that friend that is envious of my friends because they are happy and have families. I will be the sad, lonely friend. These are thoughts I have. Especially since I have this one friend that is particularly judgmental about my love life. She criticizes everything and swears that I lead everyone along. It's pretty horrible. She makes me feel like I am not good because I am not in a relationship. I think this for a little while, then I switch gears. Like, what is wrong with people my age? They're all running to get married and have babies when they're not even into a stable financial situation yet. I have plans that I intend to follow. And goals that I intend to achieve. When I get married and start a family, I want to be able to provide for my family. So, NO. I may not be in some great relationship right now close to marriage and kids, but I am living my life accomplishing my goals. The difference between you (all of my friends) and myself is that we travel different paths. My path is not the same as yours, and it may not go how you would like it to, but it is just that -- MY PATH.

So, to all my fellow people being judged for their paths: Stand strong and keep your head high. You may not be doing as great as you want. You may not have the relationship that you want. You may not have kids yet. BUT, do not let this get you down. You are still great. You are traveling at your own pace. Your life will go as it should. Don't let anyone take that away from you or make you second guess yourself. Continue to do what you are doing.

Life After Undergrad

So, I graduate in the spring and everyone keeps asking me what I plan to do. I tell them all that I plan to go to law school. Some of them are supportive, ad they say,"Well, good for you! Good luck girl!" Then, there are others who ask "How will you afford it? Why would you go if it's going to cause you more debt in the long run?" Those people, those doubters, they cause me to doubt. For an instance I begin to rethink my decision. Then, I almost feel forced into it. Like, with my undergrad degrees I have no choice BUT to go to grad school or law school. I think "Why am I putting myself through this? I can't do this. My GPA is shit (it really is, I have a B average). I don't have any money. Why am I doing this?" These are the thoughts I encounter. They make me not believe in myself either more. I am already unsure about my future, and they make it worse. So then I go and talk to my mom. She reminds me that I can do it. I may not have the best GPA, but I work hard. I am passionate. She tells me not to let my GPA be the determiner that counts me out.
....You know...I believe in what she says. As long as I believe in myself I can succeed. I can do what I am aiming for and more. And all of the people who doubt me will be blown away. I may accrue debt, but when I succeed and excel, I will find a wonderful job that will help me pay off my debt. All things in life don't come easily nor without hardship. I can and will succeed in law school. So to everyone who tries to shoot me down and put doubt/fear into my heart, I say: "Screw you. You don't have to have faith in me. I have faith in myself and there are plenty more other people who have faith in me as well. So, have several SEVERAL seats, sirs and madams."

Smile.

It's nearly Thanksgiving break, and I have survived the semester. This has been one of the toughest semesters of my life as far as work load goes, not to mention studying for the LSAT. I've had a few ups and downs, but I have made it through thus far. My relationship is still surviving as well. We've had many, MANY ups and downs, but we have been making it through together. There have been times when I have wanted to give up and quit, but I didn't. Through everything, not once has he given up on me or played with my emotions. His patience with me is amazing. I have come to appreciate my boyfriend so much in this little amount of time that we have been together. At times I see a future with him, but I try not to plan too far ahead. My life is going pretty great now. Even on decent terms with my ex. I try not to harbor ill feelings for people. I don't want that kind of thing holding me back from progressing as a person. I forgave him long ago, and I got over him. It was wonderful. It was nice to be able to gt over him and love someone else. When that happened I found someone pretty great. I couldn't really ask for anyone better. I love how my life and every aspect of it is going right now. I hope all of you are having a great stream of events happening in your life as well. Remember to cherish what you have and be grateful for anything you attain. I've recently begun trying to volunteer more. I also try to pay it forward more. Everyone deserves to smile.

Invigorated.

So, my ex has come back to the states. I have remained cordial and friendly with him. He offered to go to one of my school's big away games. I declined and said I had other things to do. I also told him I appreciated his offer and was glad we could still be friends. I totally set the boundaries. Also, I ended the conversation. I have no need to speak to him. I have moved on with my life. I have a new boyfriend. I have my head focused on school and my future. I am doing great. I do not intend to let him get back inside my head and mess that up. I am immune to him. I feel nothing for him. It felt invigorating knowing that I am not the same weak, broken-hearted girl I was before. I am strong. I am confident. I am me. I have control over my life and feelings. It feels good to know that I am finally a changed woman! =)

Life Stuff

It really sucks being in a relationship while still living at your parents' house. I want to spend as much time as I desire with my sweetie. I want to move out, but it's hard being a full time student and having a job that only lets you work 20 hours a week. I need more than that to be a fully self sustained young adult.

I'm really going through it this week. School is kicking my ass, but i'm still trying to remain positive. I spent three weeks preparing for midterms. I studied my poor little soul off. It was well worth it. I did great on my midterms. My only focus now are my upcoming papers, but most importantly the LSAT. I take it December 6. Wish me luck!

Academic Year!

It's nearly the first day of my last first day of school ever. (Unless I decide to go to graduate school, but that's another possibility for another day.) August 18 begins the last day of my undergraduate career. I can barley believe it guys. These past four years in college have been the best, honestly. I've grown as a person. I have met amazing people, and I really think I made some lifelong friends along the way. I will be a member of the graduating class of 2015. A year later than expected, but still a graduate nonetheless. I am uberly excited and scared all at the same time. Excited because I get to graduate with not one, but TWO bachelor's degrees and a minor. Scared because i'm not entirely sure what my next step is going to be yet.  I take the LSAT December 6. So, i'm going to let my future weigh on how well I do on the LSAT. Either way, i'm definitely taking a year off of school before I decide if I want to do graduate school. One of the things I would like to do as a graduation present to myself is go to California, because I have always wanted to visit the state. I'm also thinking of going to Miami. I have lots of plans for my last year. I just hope I can do them all. Now begins my senior year bucket list. I will try to post again sometime soon!

As You All Know..And Just In Case You Don't

Hello guys and gals! A little background. I am starting this new blog to take over for my old blog, Signed Love. I'll probably still end my posts the same format. I won't end with Signed Love anymore because this blog is about more than just love. Sorry guys.(Signed Love was just kind of an alter ego for my sad love life.) Anyways, this blog will be more diverse. I will post about so much more. Signed Love is my relationship blog, this one will be my life blog. If you kept up with my last blog then you know that I had quite a few self esteem problems. Problems with myself. Despite how sappy and sad the blog was I am actually quite and inspiration driven person. I love motivational sayings. I like to keep myself motivated. So this blog will mostly focus on being uplifting and encouraging. Of course, you guys should know that I am very random at times...so posts may vary on topic.

ANYWAYS, Welcome! And thank you for taking the time to read my blog!
